Big Brother Africa 2015 CANCELED?

Big Brother
Popular Television Reality show, Big Brother Africa (BBA) may not be returning this year if this report from Ghana is true.

In an exclusive interview with Manager of Multi Choice Ghana, Anne Sackey, with Razz Newspaper Reporter Mustapha Inusah who published the story on ModernGhana.com, she confirmed that they at Multi Choice Ghana have received notice from MNET that this year’s edition of Big Brother Africa will not come off.

She explained that MNET did not give them any reasons as to why they will not be doing the Big Brother this year, but then, she personally thinks it’s due to sponsorship constraints. In her words: "They didn’t give us any reason though, but I think it’s mainly because of cash constraints as we all know the show is very expensive to put up".

Anne Sackey continued by saying that since the organizers don’t have a constant annual headline sponsor (s) for the show, it becomes difficult sometimes to get sponsors. “They don’t have fix sponsors on the show. Every year the sponsor changes, sometimes it’s CocaCola, sometimes MTN and other companies from Ghana have sponsored before" she said. When interrogated further to give more details on whether this is a publicity stunt or not, she stated that MNET is a separate company and that they have their target and strategies so until they write to them, she can’t answer any more questions on their behalf.

5 Foods You MUST Avoid Before You Die

Health-Insurance2-1024x836
You’ve probably heard about foods, which boost your sex drive or raise your sex quotient. But did you also know that there are foods, which can be a total put off when consumed before sex.
We have listed the 5 foods to avoid before sex below….
Beans
Beans are a good source of fibre and proteins for our body. But they also contain a type of sugar that doesn’t digest fast and causes bloating and gas. We can all agree that a gassy and bloating belly is not ideal for sex.
Garlic
Garlic adds extra flavour to our food, but it is really a good idea before sex. It not only has a strong scent which can be an instant turn off but also has starches that can cause bloating.
Cheese
You probably didn’t expect cheese to make it to the list of foods to avoid before sex, but the truth is that cheese can be a smelly nightmare and can turn your partner off. Cheese breath lingers on long after it has been consumed, so skip this food if you want to impress your partner.
Red meat
A fancy steak meal may sound like a perfect night out but you might want to reconsider your choice of meat. Red meat is heavy and can take a long time to digest. This will leave you feeling sluggish and sleepy, which will surely affect your performance in bed.
Peppermint
While you might think that chomping on a peppermint for fresh breath is a good idea before sex, studies show that the menthol present in peppermint can reduce testosterone levels and this can affect your sex drive.

Suicidal father jumps into the River with his 7 month old son

Police have ended their initial search for the body of a 7-month-old who may have plunged into the Connecticut River when his suicidal father jumped off the Arrigoni Bridge in Middletown late Sunday night. Police said the baby's father, Tony Moreno, 22, of Middletown, called someone threatening suicide before jumping into the river around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. That person dialed 911 and told officers Moreno's baby boy, Aaden, was making noises in the background. Officers rushed to the scene and saw Moreno jump. Middletown firefighters pulled him to shore and a LifeStar medical helicopter airlifted Moreno to the hospital, where he was initially listed in serious condition. After searching the water for nearly 24 hours, authorities called it quits for the night, with no sign of Aaden's body. State police issued a Silver Alert for the boy Monday morning but later said the chances of finding him alive are slim. "The Middletown police department has been able to confirm that a 7-month-old listed as missing did enter the Connecticut River last night. The search for the 7-month-old boy is now classified as a recovery," Middletown police spokesman Lt. Heather Desmond said during a news conference Monday afternoon. Moreno, meanwhile, has improved in the hospital and is now listed in stable condition. Police said he's conscious and alert, but it's not clear if Moreno has told investigators what may have happened to his young son. Police are still investigating but said they expect to file charges. Community members gathered at the Middletown green Monday evening to hold a candlelight vigil for Aaden. A Facebook group entitled "Help Find Aaden Moreno!!" has garnered the support of more than 1,500 people. Aaden is 2 feet tall and weighs 23 pounds, according to the Silver Alert issued Monday. He was last seen wearing black pants and a black- and-white striped shirt with a picture of Mickey Mouse on the front. In the US, police will issue a Silver Alert for any child who is missing, along with missing people over the age of 65 and any other missing people who might have a medical condition requiring treatment.

Policewomen Cry: Our bosses punish us for refusing them $ex

After 35 years of service, she retired as a Deputy Superintendent (DSP) from the Nigeria Police Force in 2002, while her squad mates did as Chief Superintendents, Assistant Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners. Wine glasses were raised up on the day they retired, all laughing and dancing to have served in the Force and retired alive, and not get killed while on the job. Nonetheless, she wasn’t happy and maybe she still isn’t. 13 years are gone now since her retirement, but anytime she remembers the treatments meted out to her by her male bosses, the agony returns. But for the passion she had for the job, she would have long quit, but she stood up, fought them with everything she has - for the most years she spent in the Force. The male Police Officers were bent on frustrating her – and they succeeded, to some extent. First, her promotion through the ranks was always delayed; second, her name was dropped at least twice from the inspectorate and assistant superintendent of police calls – promotional training courses for members of the Force; and finally, she was always asked to perform duties that were below her capability. Whether her female colleagues succumbed to the threats of their senior male colleagues for them to have retired at higher levels in the Force than her, she couldn’t tell. “What I know is that I kept myself pure, I never compromised,” she looked in the eyes of Punch correspondent and managed to flash a brief smile. Clara – real name withheld – joined the Nigeria Police Force when she was around 25. The Enugu State indigene, who pleaded not to be named for fear of being a target of attack, was young, pretty, slim, with a chocolate skin colour and a great dress sense. Unknown to her, these qualities endeared her to many of her male bosses. “ I was getting too much attention from almost every senior male officer, and before I knew what was happening, I was being asked out by most of them. It took a while for me to know I was going to pay dearly for turning down their proposals ,” she said. She joined as a recruit, a spinster at that time, and immediately, she became a victim of sexual harassment. To make matters worse, she didn’t marry a policeman, which she said could have helped in stopping the harassment, but she chose to marry someone else, her true lover. She said, “It was my passion while growing up to be a police officer. I just loved anyone in uniform. Thankfully, I had the requirements to join, so I applied and it was successful. I joined as a recruit at that time. But it wasn’t funny. I started becoming an object of attraction from my male bosses, which I really didn’t like. But it wasn’t mere attraction; they wanted to sleep with me. They asked me out many times, tried to lure me through gifts and promises of speedy promotion. I am glad to say it anywhere that I turned them down. “To make it worse, I didn’t marry a member of the Force. Another man owned my heart. Probably if I had married a member of the Force – at least one of those I got proposals from – it would have been easier. The harassment wouldn’t have been as tough as I experienced. “It wasn’t long before I realised I was going to pay for not giving in to them. Many times I was posted to places like the police cooperative, where my skills and knowledge were rendered useless. I had the physique and the intellect to be at better posts, even in the field. But they did not allow me to be at such posts. At least twice they removed my name from the lists of officers to go and study abroad. And to my surprise, they made it obvious to me that they were punishing me for refusing to have sex with them.” These treatments ultimately led to her depression, but she found a way around it to still get on, without letting it affect her work. “When it was becoming too obvious that I was suffering from depression, my husband asked me what was happening and I told him, but he kept on encouraging me. Of course, he couldn’t have done anything to stop them if he wanted me to stay in the Force,” she added. “He reminded me of the passion I had for the job and that kept me on. So at a point in time, after spending about 10 years in the Force, I got used to the threats and developed a stronger mind. My squad mates all left me behind because I was the only one that I knew whose promotion was delayed. Today, I’m a victor; I fought and I won. I didn’t let them determine what happened to me.” Maybe she retired as a fulfilled police officer, but not as a happy one – an assumption based on her expression when she spoke with Saturday PUNCH in her Lagos residence on a cold evening past weekend. Caught between two options Clara is retired now, but there are presently other female police officers who are being sexually harassed by their male bosses; some of them spoke to our correspondent on the issue on the condition of anonymity. They want to keep quiet – and say nothing about what they are passing through, especially if they want to keep their jobs. They cannot write petitions; they are scared – they said even if they do, the petitions might eventually land on their bosses’ tables, which could lead to an end of their careers ultimately. They don’t know whether they would be believed even if they complain. Hence, they are living with it. Some weeks ago, our correspondent approached two policewomen, who retired in their booth after spending some time controlling the traffic along the Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway, to seek their thoughts on the issue. At first, they looked confused, but after being assured that their identities were never going to be disclosed, they caved in, and gave Saturday PUNCH an address where they could talk about it. On the agreed day and time, they showed up in muftis. “You can help us write about it, but don’t ever quote us, don’t show our faces. Don’t disclose where we live or our duty posts,” one of the two instructed. They agreed that Saturday PUNCHcould take their pictures only if it would not implicate them in any way. Deal was done. One of them, a dark-skinned woman, probably in her late 30s, told our correspondent that if she knew another job that was free of sexual harassment from male colleagues and bosses, she would opt for it. “But it is difficult getting such. Getting this one was not easy in the first place, not to talk of looking for another one,” she said. When she was recruited into the Force a few years ago, she said she had no idea that apart from having the right skills, her fate on the job would depend on whether she could sleep with senior male officers. She said, “I’ve been asked out several times by my bosses; they know I’m married, yet they still want to sleep with me. This is not something so strange to me because even before I joined the Force, it happened. Men like to ask ladies out whether they are married or not; they just don’t care. Unfortunately, I cannot do it. I am a faithful Christian and no matter the threat, I will never let them have their way. It’s not normal, I suppose. “The only challenge I’m having right now is that my husband is not here in Lagos, so many of them don’t believe I am married. They usually ask me to produce my husband; meanwhile, I am not the type who wears wedding ring every time. I have told a senior female colleague about this many times, seeking advice on what to do, but it’s like there is nothing to do than to either maintain my stand or compromise. “She told me if I compromise, it would help my career, but if I don’t, I will be persecuted. I have chosen the latter. I can never sell my body to climb the ladder of any career in life, no matter how juicy the offer is. When you are here, you cannot write petition against any boss like that, except if one is asking for trouble. A boss will always be a boss. When the matter goes up, it will still come down and one will be hurt more. That’s what this is all about. I think it happens in most organisations.”

Comedian Julius Agwu undergoes brain surgery in the US(Photos)

Julius Agwu has been off the scene for a while and many were unaware he was ill.The ace comedian revealed to YES International Magazine that he had to undergo a brain surgery in the USA..According to Yes International... On the genesis of his ill health, he said he can’t say specifically when and how it started. But all he could recollect was that at some point, he went on and on losing serious weight, which got many people wondering. Some concerned ones started proffering solutions, both medically and spiritually, while others resorted to murmuring and gossiping. It went on and on until sometime in May when he had a seizure at home and while his wife, Ibiere, whom he lavished with so much thanks all through our stay for her love, care, understanding and support, battled to halt that, he ran out of breath. Almost lifeless. And with the likely consequences starring her in the face, Ibiere got their maid and the security man to assist her in getting him into one of their cars. And from there, they practically sprinted to their hospital in Lekki. Thank God the doctor was on call. He battled for hours with his team to ‘bring him back to life again’. And upon stabilizing him, Julius and his wife immediately left for the United States of America. Houston to be precise, where arrangement had been made at the Park Plaza Hospital. After a series of tests, two lumps were discovered in his brain!
The lumps had been messing up his health and causing his incessant weight loss. Immediately, the Caucasian surgeons went to work, operating on him for about 4 hours on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at the Park Plaza Hospital in Houston Texas, United States of America. Upon being discharged, Julius rested in the US for sometime before returning home recently. Currently putting things together for the 10th anniversary of his annual Crack Ya Ribs in London, the father of two (Zhara and Zadok) told YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine that all through the time he was medically down, he was always thinking about what would become of his wife and children should anything go wrong. “Onyeoma, I no go lie to you, na dem I just dey think about. But like I said earlier, it’s God at work. I want to thank everybody who supported me in one way or the other. Those that were praying for me and all that.
I’m planning a thanksgiving where I will still tell the full story. But for now, I just want to thank God and my wife. Onyeoma! My wife tried. The day I had the seizure, she put her finger in my mouth and I bit it…All the vomit; the mess; she was the one brushing and bathing me on the bed and clearing and cleaning them. IB really, really tried for me”. A smile immediately erupted on the face of IB who was sitting adjacent us and also listening to her husband narrate his story. His two children who were also nearby immediately made for where we were sitting and started crawling all over us. And as if on cue, Julius quipped in an emotional voice: “Onyeoma, wetin for happen like say…” And he left it hanging there.

No woman involved in Ikorodu bank robbery-Suspect

After the public parade of four suspected Ikorodu bank robbers ,many questioned the whereabouts of the lady many witnesses say led the bank robbery..However, one of the suspects,Bright Agbojule, has stated that the group was not led by a woman
Agbojule is one one of the four persons accused of being members of an 18-man bank robbery gang that attacked banks in Ikorodu, Lekki and Ijede, all in Lagos state
Agbojule was paraded along with Monday Omoboye, 39, aka Alarm Blow; Monday Ikuesan, 37, and Promise Abiwa, 20, by Police Commissioner (CP) Kayode Aderanti, on his last day of duty in Lagos on Monday.
The 25-year old who said they were all boys in the gang, told newsmen that they were led by two men known Million and Kakado, both at large as at the time of filing this report.
He claimed that he was only invited to join the crew a week to the operation, noting that, he was a timber worker at Ebute-Metta and only joined because of poverty. He said

“There was no woman in the group. Our leaders are Million and Kakado. We planned the operation from Ishawo creeks. Million and his men came to us and told us about the operation. Million brought guys from Warri.
Agbojule Bright
It was from the creeks that we planned the whole thing and this is my first operation with them. I was among those who kept watch along the road. I was given a Pump Action gun. We had eight guns and two Pump Action rifles.
“I am a student of College of Education, Ekiadolor. I did not follow them to Lekki or any other robbery but I know it was the gang that attacked those banks. We left very early for the Ikorodu operation and it was some of Million’s boys who went into the police station; I did not go with them.
“Million and Kakado brought the dynamite used to open the bank doors and the guns. They were the ones who also taught us how to use the guns.
“I do not know how much was gotten because it was the leaders who counted and shared the money. My share was N2million from where I bought a Lexus jeep for N1. 5million; I bought jerry can for my brother to start oil bunkering; gave my wife N30, 000 for her JAMB exam and also gave my friends money.
“I was arrested in Ikorodu, where I live. My friend Akpan called me and I didn’t know that it was because the police were looking for me.”
Omoboye, a boat operator, said he usually ferried the gang for their operations. He confessed that he had participated in all the robberies, adding that he received N400,000 for the Lekki robbery, N400,000 for Ijede and N2million for the Ogolonto attack, totalling N2.8m.

Monady Omoboye
“We went to Epe area and lodged there. I was the boat operator and I drove them in all the operations. I don’t usually leave the boat and one or two men are left to stay with me because the gang will contact them and they will alert me when it’s time to move.
“I was contacted about one month after the Lekki operation and informed of the Ijede attack, I got N400,000 each from Lekki and Ijede. But for the Ebute business, I was given N2million.
“I was not the one they called on the telephone. It was one of their men before we rode to the jetty side to carry them. My boat is a fibre boat. I usually take them to the creeks in Ishawo but they don’t allow us close to where they share money.
“Our business in the Creek is illegal bunkering, pipeline vandalism and armed robbery. I took part in all the robberies because I was their boat operator.
“Yes I am married with five children but my wife does not know what I do,” he said.
Monday Ikuesan
Ikuesan, another boat operator, said his only role was ferrying the hoodlums after their boat broke down when they robbed the banks in Lekki. He claimed that he operated a gun boat, whose owner contacted him to carry the armed robbers when their boat broke down in February.
“I am not a member of the group but I know I have carried them once. I was contacted by the owner of the gun boat to carry them because their boat broke down in the water.
The owner was given N400,000 but he gave me N180, 000 and Baba Ibeji added N10,000, making N190, 000. I have never followed them for any operation.”
Briefing reporters, Aderanti said:
“So, on June 26, one of the armed robbers, Promise Abiwa, was traced to Igbokoda in Ondo State where he was arrested.
“On June 28, one of the key members of the gang Monday Omoboye (aka Alarm Blow) was arrested in his hideout in Ikorodu.
“Monday is the boat operator who drove their speedboats in both the Lekki on June 1 and the robberies on June 24.
“On June 29, at about 4:00 pm, one Agbojule Bright was traced to another hideout and was arrested with a Lexus Jeep, which he bought from his own share of the loot.
“These armed robbers have confessed to various armed robbery attacks both on water and highways across the country. Further investigations geared towards arresting the remnants of the gang is in progress,” Aderanti said.

Bill Cosby admits drugging woman for sex

Bill Cosby admitted in a 2005 deposition that he drugged women and intended on having sex with them.
According to documents obtained by the Associated Press, the 77-year-old actor and comedian said he obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and "other people,"

The news agency obtained the legal documents after they became public on Monday. Mr Cosby testified that he gave a woman three half pills of Benadryl in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee.

The 77-year-old was questioned by Dolores Troiani, a lawyer for Andrea Constand, a former women's basketball director at Philadelphia's Temple University where Cosby studied and was a member of the board of trustees. Constand took her rape case to court, but the case was dropped.

In one exchange between Cosby and Troiani, the comic admitted having obtained seven prescriptions for Quaaludes, a powerful sedative drug.
"You gave them to other people?" asked the attorney.
"Yes," replied Cosby.
Troiani then asked him:
"When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?"
"Yes," replied Cosby, although a short time later he said he had misunderstood the question, and was referring only to one woman.
"I misunderstood. Woman, meaning T....., and not women," he said.
Later in the deposition, Cosby said:
"I meet Ms (T, whose name was redacted to preserve her anonymity) in Las Vegas. She meets me back stage. I give her Quaaludes. We then have sex."
Mr Cosby settled the lawsuit outside of court in 2006 for undisclosed terms. Mr Cosby’s lawyers fought to keep the documents private and argued that revealing them to the public would ultimately embarrass their client. The entertainer resigned from the board of Temple University last December, as sexual abuse accusations against him multiplied.

Fear As Dead Man Withdraws N4.3Million From Bank (Photo)

About N4.3 million was debited from the Union Bank account of a young medical doctor who died in a motor accident on the way to his wedding on October 10th. The debit was made in Kaduna few weeks after his death. Information from the bank indicated that the dead man used the ATM card to make the withdrawals. A new twist emerged when the dead man applied for an ATM card from his bank and used it to clear his account. A family source said; “When Chidiebere died, we discovered that his mobile telephone number had been blocked. We were surprised because no member of our family told the GSM service provider that Chidiebere had died. So, we took up the matter and it took some time before the line was reactivated. “We got the shock of our lives after re activating the line. As soon as we switched on the phone, we began to receive alerts of withdrawals from his account. All the withdrawals were made after he had died and had been buried. During his life time, he did not use ATM cards but in death, he applied for ATM card from the bank in Kaduna and started withdrawing all the money in his account. Worse still, Chidiebere was not the owner of all the money in the account. One of his brothers who went abroad in search of greener pastures was sending money to Chidiebere to keep for him. Now, the brother is back and Chidiebere’s corpse had withdrawn all the money as the bank wants us to believe.” It was learned that the family has contacted the bank on the strange withdrawals but it has been prevaricating over the issue. Saturday Sun had, on November 16, 2013, published the pathetic story of Dr Chidiebere Emmanuel Nwanja, who died on the way to Okposi in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State to contract marriage with his sweet heart, Miss Celina Uzor. According to the report; “Their traditional marriage rite otherwise called Igbankwu was fixed for Monday, October 14, 2013 while the white wedding was billed for Tuesday, October 15 at the Pres byterian Church, Okposi Okwu. “On October 10, Chidiebere left Kaduna where he was practising for his hometown for the marriage ceremony. He was in company with his younger brother, Kelechi Nwanja and Mr Ifeanyi, an indigene of Onicha Igboeze, who was supposed to play the role of best man. While they journeyed, the bride and groom kept in touch via telephone. In fact, Celina and about seven of her friends, theasebi girls, were already in town putting finishing touches to the arrangement. “The journey was smooth until they got to Udi in Enugu. There, the unexpected happened. They had a fatal accident in which the groom and his best man died on the spot. Only Kelechi survived but he sustained serious injuries. “Narrating the tragedy that befell the family, Chidiebere’s elder brother, Mr Ndubuisi Nwanja, in an emotion laden voice, said: ‘When I got the information that my brother was involved in an accident, I rushed to the place but before I got there, the police had already been there. They took Kelechi to Annunciation Hospital, a Catholic hospital, in Emene, Enugu and deposited the corpses of Chidiebere and Ifeanyi at a mortuary in Udi because the accident happened in Udi, at the bypass before Four – Corner. The following day we went to the hospital to see the corpses.’ “He added that the family committed the resources already earmarked for the marriage to the burial of the young medical doctor. ‘The family met and decided to bury him immediately; we did not want to keep the corpse in the mortuary. So, we went to the mortuary, took the corpse and buried. The wake keep held on October 14 while the burial took place on October 15. His traditional marriage was supposed to hold on October 14 while the church wedding would take place on October 15, the day he was eventually buried. We decided to use the things he bought for the traditional marriage and Church wedding for his burial. He had already bought drinks and hired chairs, tables, canopies and musical groups and we decided to use these things he had paid for to bury him.’ The report disclosed that the tale assumed a new dimension on October 18 when the family went to the accident site to retrieve the car or what was left of it and personal effects. A family source said in the report; ‘We tried to bring the car out of the place it fell into but we could not. So, we decided to axe the car into pieces there. While we were at it, a commercial bus driver from Udi who operates between Enugu and Port Harcourt saw us and parked his vehicle. He asked us if we were the relation of the doctor and we told him everything. He said that he was the person that helped the police to bring the doctor out of the car but, unfortunately, he was already dead. He said that he was the one that removed his clothes and while removing the clothes he saw a huge sum of money that he was coming back with and he handed everything over to the police. But the police did not even make mention of the money, let alone release it to us. They only gave us the luggage he was coming back with. They didn’t tell us that there was any money involved.’ The report added that the family had gone to the police station at Udi with a view to recovering the money to no avail, as policemen there claimed to be unaware of the money.
