Nigerians now know who their ministers are as 18 nominees have been cleared by the Nigerian senate for President Muhammadu Buhari's cabinet.
But before their approval to be ministers, the nominees took turns to take questions on their suitability.
The day started with former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, answering questions on what he would do to contribute to national growth and development.
In one of his responses, the former governor said Nigeria is under-policed and recommended that the Nigerian Police force be decentralized.
He called for the implementation of state police as it will help reduce unemployment as more youths will be employed to police their environment an, tailors will be contracted to sew police uniforms.
He said as a governor, he saw criminals as his competitors and in a competition his goal was to win the war against criminals.
Other candidates whose appointments have been formally confirmed are Chief Ogbonnaya Onu, Senator Udo Udoma, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Chief Audu Ogbeh and Dr Osagie Ehanire, Lt. Gen. Abdurahman Dambazau, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Amina Mohammed, Engr. Suleiman Adamu and Ibrahim Usman Jibril.
Also confirmed as ministers were the current group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, Abubakar Malami, SAN, the former governor of Anambra state Dr Chris Ngige and Senator Aisha Jumai Alhassan.
The appointments of Kemi Adeosun, Hadi Sirika and Solomon Dalong as ministers were also confirmed.
