Former Nigeria international, Etim Esin, has tipped the U-23 Eagles for victory against Senegal in Saturday’s All Africa Games clash.
Speaking with Completesportsnigeria.com, Esin said: “They have a chance against Senegal, they’ve been quite impressive. I am tipping them for victory against Senegal.
Esin however warned them against complacency.
“They should not underrate the Senegalese because there are no more underdogs in African football. They should just go out there and get the job done,” Esin told Completesportsnigeria.com.
Esin went on to praise Samson Siasia’s impact on the team.
“With Siasia, especially when it comes to the junior teams, you can’t take it away from him.
“He has been at the Olympics final and the U-20 World Cup final. He knows what it takes, he has been there, and done that.”
In their first match at the Games against Ghana, the U-23 Eagles won 2-0, with goals from Junior Ajayi and Kingsley Sokari.
