With the Miss America preliminaries underway, Miss Iowa is leading the pack with a double win after taking home the prize during last night's swimsuit round, earning a $1,000 scholarship in reward for the way she flaunted her figure in a bikini.
Taylor Wiebers, 21, wore a blue halter two-piece during the segment of the annual pageant that is formally called 'Lifestyle and Fitness', though no physical feats are actually performed on stage during that time - unless, that is, you count walking in five-inch heels in front of millions of people a physical feat. The University of Iowa student scored her second win after placing first during Tuesday night's talent competition.
'I don't believe there are a combination of words in the English language to describe what I'm feeling right now,' she said, according to AP. 'I wanted to go onstage and have fun and show the judges that I had worked hard.'

She had taken home a $2,000 scholarship earlier in the week for performing Don't Forget Me from the cancelled TV show Smash.
But she's not the only winner so far who is racking up points that can help secure the final title when the show airs from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, this Sunday on ABC.
The preliminary competitions were held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, with contestants taking home scholarships for both talent and swimsuit contests each evening.

That's original! While many of her fellow contestants chose music or dancing as their talents, Miss Vermont Alayna Westcom performed a fun chemistry experiment during the preliminary rounds

The two other swimsuit, or Lifestyle and Fitness, winners included Miss South Carolina Daja Dial, 22, who wore a light blue two-piece, and Miss Florida Mary Katherine Fechtel, 19, who wore a white bikini with gold lining.
After winning, each of the preliminary titleholders posed with the current reigning Miss America, Kira Kazantsev, 24. She will be on-hand to pass the torch when the new Miss America is crowned this weekend.
